There are some amazing walks all over the world. Some short and some are very long. Have you heard of Karl Bushby. He started his walk around the world in 1998 and he hasn't finished it yet. His book "Giant Steps" is well worth getting hold of.
-
Many walks have their own official comprehensive websites and that's where you should get your information.

There is a range of fitness and experience required. Some you will be walking from inn to inn and relaxing at the end of a hard day in a hot spring bath or having a few drinks and a hot meal in a quaint "Old Town". On other walks you could be carrying you accommodation and food on your back and then have to organise them setting it all up at the end of a hard days walk.
-
One thing they all have in common is the scenery will be awesome and you will keep the memory of the adventure for the rest of your life. Some will have an interesting history, others could have amazing wildlife, more than likely they will have a number of highlights because these are some of the best walks on the planet.
-
There is useful information and ideas about travel arrangements and extra stop overs for the start and end of the trips as well as visas, flights and hotels. Where a lot of equipment is needed on the walk there are usually companies that rent out everything you will need as well as supplying transportation to and from the start and end of the walk.
-
You can make most of these arrangements yourself and save a lot of money. Or you can let someone else do it and pay accordingly. If it's a reputable company and the price seems reasonable it might be worth it. They often have extra luxuries in the package with things like pack animals and comfortable accommodation.
-
To get the maximum enjoyment from these walks and even from a safety standpoint you should put the effort in to get fit enough. Work out a training regime that will get you in the right condition. It's easier to be motivated and disciplined when you know something is coming along and there is no avoiding it.
🛎️ Where hotels are involved I suggest you have them all booked in advance 🛎️
