Situated at the northern most point of the Whitsunday Archipelago which consists of 74 islands.
It is a private island and you can only visit if you are a guest of the resort.
It has picked up scores of awards over the years as Australia's premier resort.
It is one of the most beautiful in the Whitsundays and one of the most expensive.
It is 4 km long by 3 km wide. The resort is the only facility on the island.
40 different countries are able to get e-visas and Electronic Travel Authorisations on line. Check with your local Embassy to see what you need to do
Budget -
It is one of the most exclusive and expensive private island resorts.
So it will cost a small fortune. But it is a very pleasant way to part with your funds if you can afford it.
Rooms cost between $1,000 and $4,000 a night!!

In 2017 Cyclone Debbie went through and destroyed many resorts in this area.
Since then hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent to restore the resorts which are all back up and running.
Hayman Island had a luxury make under. Understated luxury with an eco-friendly back to nature feel.
Go -
May to November is the best time. December to April is the wet season when it is generally humid and rainy.
September is the best month but be careful to avoid school holidays.
Airports -
You'll need to connect with flights to Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne
The airport names up here can get confusing.
· Hamilton Island Airport (HTI) aka Great Barrier Reef Airport
· Proserpine Airport (PPP) aka Whitsunday Coast Airport
· Shute Harbour Airport (JHQ) - aka Whitsunday Airport
Fly to Hamilton Island Airport (HTI) then transfer by boat, helicopter or sea-plane to Hayman Island.
There are direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Cairns.
You can also fly by seaplane or helicopter from the Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) at Proserpine. Direct flights here from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
