WHEN -

May to November is the winter dry season with clear sunny skies and an average temperature of 30 C which can go up to 40 C. August to October are the driest months. In may it can go as low as 14 C overnight.

December to April is the summer wet season. It is hot, humid and rainy. The rain usually comes in a short tropical downpour in the afternoons and evenings. Storms are exciting to watch and freshen the place up. This is the best time of the year for sunsets and wildlife.

However Broome does get cyclones and there are stingers in the water from November to March.

STAY -

At the award winning Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa ****½

overlooking the famous 22 km stretch of white sand known as Cable Beach. There is an Adults only lagoon style ocean pool as well as a family pool, tropical gardens, a wellness spa and four restaurants.

There are 5 room types - Studios - Bungalows - Club Apartments - Villas and Suites. Studios and Villas (lounge, dining, kitchenette, private courtyard, plunge pool and Adults Only) are the ones that suit couples. The resort is styled to reflect the Asian and Colonial influences on Broome. It has a tour desk of you feel like getting out and about.

ABOUT -

Cable Beach was named after the submarine communications cable from Perth to Java that came ashore here. The Broome Courthouse is the old Cable Station.

If you get there before your room is ready there are facilities for you to change and relax by the pool with some food and  drink until it is.

Do as much or as little as you like. There is a lot to choose from. One thing not to miss is the Horizontal Waterfall boat adventure. The little town of Broome has a fascinating history and has plenty of reasons to make a few visits.

If you have enough time it would be worthwhile to visit the Kimberly region as well. Otherwise you'll be kicking yourself.

If you decide to have your wedding here you won't be disappointed. The Cable Beach sunset is a backdrop that is hard to beat and the level of service and the quality of the food and drinks is world class.

It's not the cheapest resort on this site but compared to many other destinations it represents great value for money.
