Amara Resort & Spa **** -
just a 5 minute walk from the heart of town for all of the facilities such as tours, shopping, cafes, restaurants and nightlife. You can also use the hotels bikes or their free shuttle service. There is a yoga mat in every room and apparently you should try yoga on a vortex
ABOUT -
A local saying goes "God created the Grand Canyon but he lives in Sedona".
is known as a haven for spiritual wellness due to the number of energy vortex's emanating from the earth. People in the vicinity say they can feel the energy. They come in both male and female versions and are represented by the unusual rock formations. Female ones have energy entering the earth and male ones leaving it. Although they are all over Sedona there are four Primary ones. Just being near them can improve things like your self confidence, motivation, patience and balance between your masculine and feminine energies.
is also at a convergence of Ley - lines which also cause these energy vortices. Other Ley- line sites are Stonehenge, Giza (The Pyramids) and Machu Picchu. Woooooo spooky!!
Sign up for a tour or get a free map and do it yourself. Sceptics may prefer the healing powers of a Sacred Stone Massage at the spa.
ADD ONS -
and turn it in to a road trip. It is an 8 hour drive to Sedona. You could also add Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas and Monument Valley. You could easily spend 2 weeks with a couple of nights in each place and a few more in Sedona. Have a look for your hotels on Booking.com.
